Script by Nature is a new organic operation taking shape in Trinity County — high-elevation, fog-free, and far enough off the beaten path to grow at our own pace.
We started Script by Nature with a simple proposition: a small organic farm, run by people who pick up the phone, growing crops that earn their place on a chef's menu and a buyer's spec sheet.
Trinity County gives us cool nights, bright mountain afternoons, and a working distance from the noise of denser ag corridors. The result is slower-growing, denser-flavored produce — and the kind of operational quiet that lets us actually walk every block.
We pack, grade, and cold-chain everything ourselves — no consolidation, no intermediaries. That is slower. It is also how we keep our word.
Regenerative isn't a marketing word here — it's a logbook. Below is the short version of how we farm.
Organic matter tracked block by block. Composted on-site. No synthetic inputs, ever. Land transitioned through a verified three-year clean history before a row goes in.
Drip-first irrigation, mulched beds, and crop choices matched to mountain rainfall. Riparian setbacks honored beyond the regulatory minimum.
Bell beans, vetch, oats. Every acre gets a winter cover; nothing sits bare. Carbon stays in the ground, not the sky.
Picked at peak, graded by hand, hydrocooled within 90 minutes of cut. Reefer-loaded by sundown for next-day delivery.
A small founding team. Every order, every spec sheet, every cold-chain handoff goes through someone whose name is on this page.

No consolidation. No third-party packing. We harvest, grade, and ship in-house so what arrives at your dock matches what left our cooler — every time.
A small team means a buyer-facing relationship that doesn't get handed off. Forecasts, substitutions, harvest updates — direct, every time, without a queue.
Crops fail. Weather happens. We'd rather flag a short-ship 48 hours early than ship something that won't hold up on your line.
